Feasibility Studies

At an early stage in the project cycle we can provide an expert opinion on the likely connection method, costs and timelines. Depending on the detail required this can take the format of an informal chat, email or a more detailed report. A typical MullanGrid feasibility report would undertake a review of the proposed connection method, and identify any risks that could obstruct the generators connection.

Depending on the scope of the feasibility the report would include:

  • Grid offer process
  • Existing and planned network and generation
  • Connection methods
  • Maps of connection methods
  • Connection costs and timelines
  • Review of losses and on-going grid costs
  • Review of the potential constraint

MullanGrid have completed feasibility studies for projects ranging from 50kW up to 100MW. MullanGrid have an extensive database for both the Ireland and Northern Ireland network allowing detailed feasibility studies to be completed in both jurisdictions.
