Rory Mullan MEng MBA – Director and Senior Project Engineer
Rory is a recognised expert in the connection of renewable generation in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Rory has been working in the Irish electricity industry since 1998. Prior to becoming a senior consultant , Rory has a background of working in commercial and technical roles in NIE, ESB and EirGrid. Rory is a member of the IWEA council and has been chairperson of the IWEA and the NIRIG grid committees. Rory is also a member of the ISEA grid committee. Through his roles in the renewable trade associations he has been at the forefront of the development of connection policy over the past eight years.
Sinead Brennan BEng MSc – Senior Project Engineer
Sinead is an Electrical Engineer with over 10 years experience working in the electrical industry in Ireland. Sinead has specialised in the area of grid connections and has provided both commercial and technical advice to developers on connection applications, feasibility studies, connection offer reviews, due diligence, electrical design, and the specification of electrical plant. Sinead has just completed a certificate in electricity distribution design. Sinead also has expertise on the connection of small and medium scale generation such as single wind turbine and bio-energy installations. Sinead is also a member of the Irish Bioenergy Association Management Committee and the IWEA Small and Medium Grid Committee.
Peter Lynn BE MSc CEng MIEI – Senior Project Engineer
Peter is a Chartered Engineer with 15 years’ experience in the Irish engineering consultancy sector. In the past 7 years Peter has gained extensive expertise in connecting renewables and the commercial and regulatory aspects of the Ireland and Northern Ireland Electricity Industries. Peter has provided specialist advice to developers and financial institutions on feasibility studies, connection applications, connection offer reviews, connection modifications, internal wind farm losses studies, due diligence, curtailment analysis, and electrical design reviews. Peter secured a distinction grade in an MSc in Electrical Power Systems via distance learning at the University of Bath in 2014. Prior to working in the Irish electricity sector, Peter has 8 years experience working for two multi-national consultancies in the areas of traffic engineering and transportation planning.
Jo Lowry BA MA- Project Coordinator
Jo Lowry is Project Consultant with MullanGrid and joined the team in January 2013. Jo is responsible for the development and management of MullanGrid’s ArcGIS database of Ireland’s existing and planned transmission / distribution networks and generators. Jo has provided advice to both solar and wind developers on connection applications and feasibility studies both in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Jo has also completed a number of connection offer modifications for wind farms in Ireland. Jo leads any work related to connecting generators to the 11kV network in Northern Ireland. Prior to working in the Irish Energy sector, Jo has 3 years’ experience working in the UK Medium Wind Sector developing and installing 250-500kW wind turbine sites.
Susan Mullan (Lennon) FFCA – Financial Controller
Susan joined the team in September 2014 and is in charge of all finance relating to MullanGrid. Susan has spent the last 20 years working as an accountant in the private consultancy sector.
Lorcan O’Toole BE MIEI – Project Engineer
Lorcan is a Project Engineer who joined the team in May 2015 after graduating from Energy Engineering in University College Dublin. Lorcan manages MullanGrid’s application database and assists the team with Feasibility Studies, Connection Applications and Curtailment Analysis.
